The career of Tobias Brandstätter began with a traditional apprenticeship at the Café Winkler at the Mönchsberg Mountain in Salzburg and at the Kurhausstüberl restaurant in Waging am See in Bavaria, run by the famous master chef Alfons Schubeck. Life then led him to the legendary restaurant Korso in Vienna, where he learned the art of cooking under the tutelage of Reinhard Gerer.
Stays with Marco Pierre White in London and the Haeberlin brothers in the Alsace further honed his talent. Since 1995 Tobias Brandstätter has brandished the cooking spoon as head chef at the parental business in Salzburg while his wife Evelyn pampers her guests as hostess at the Café Bazar in Salzburg.
